Privacy policy — Open in Orca
Effective date: 20 September 2026. Applies to version 0.1.0.
Open in Orca changes MakerWorld’s print-profile opening action so that a user can open the selected profile in OrcaSlicer or Bambu Studio.
Information processed on your device
- The extension stores one enabled/disabled preference in the browser’s local extension storage. It is not synced by the extension and remains until changed or the extension is uninstalled.
- On MakerWorld model pages, the extension reads relevant page controls and the selected profile identifier. It observes the site’s existing download response to obtain the filename and signed download URL. That URL can contain temporary access credentials and a user identifier supplied by MakerWorld.
- This information is processed temporarily in page memory to match your click to its download response. The extension does not persist download URLs, credentials, filenames or profile history.
- When you choose to open a profile, the extension passes the download URL to the chosen locally installed slicer using its application URI protocol. The slicer then handles the download under its own settings and privacy practices.
Collection and sharing
The extension has no developer-operated server, analytics, advertising or telemetry. It does not send this information to the developer, sell information, or use it for advertising. It does not make additional download requests or upload files. MakerWorld’s own requests and the slicer’s downloads remain subject to those services’ policies.
The extension runs only on https://makerworld.com/*. It does not read browsing
history from other sites or request access to browser cookies. Disabling it
restores the site’s original controls and stops Orca routing; uninstalling it
removes the locally stored extension preference.
Changes
This policy will be updated if the extension’s data handling changes. The effective date above identifies the current revision.
